Eagle Pass Police Department officers were also on hand to monitor the process and direct traffic if the need became necessary, however, traffic continued to flow for the most part.
The dangerous aspect of this accident is the fact that the stones in the gravel are round and could be fired off to the sides of the road at dangerously high speeds if stepped on by passing trucks, 18-wheelers or even the smaller wheels of individual vehicles.
The clean-up process took approximately one and a half to two hours as the accident occurred at 10:25 AM.
