Participating in the ceremony will be the Memorial Jr. High School Band, the cadets from the TX 92nd AFJR- ROTC, the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas, Ms. Jessica Cavazos, Mr. Sammy Lerma, our post chaplain Mr. Rogelio Reina, and asst. Post Chaplain Mr. Esteban Salas, and our guest speaker will be U.S Army Veteran Janice Casillas. Also participating will be the VFW firing squad, and our local veterans organizations.
The names of those killed in action who are inscribed on the monument will be read and a flower will be placed on the monument to honor each one of them. The VFW is ask- ing that the next of kin, families, and friends of those whose names are inscribed on the monument attend this solemn ceremony and bring floral offerings to be placed at the monument.
The VFW is extending a cordial invitation to all veterans and their families and the general public from both sides of the border to attend this solemn and beautiful ceremony. A special invitation is made to our elected officials to attend this patriotic ceremony that honor, pay tribute, and remem- bers our departed veterans.
