Shelby Park in the heart of downtown Eagle Pass was the scene for the 2015 OLOR Race for Grace, a 5K event which raises money for Our Lady of Refuge School where Principal Katrina Harper, an avid runner herself decided to take her hobby a step further to organize this fun run where we saw entire families participating and getting blasted by colored corn starch then entire way!

Harper's staff and student body provided the necessary support to assure the success of the event which as is evident in the pictures on this page was just that and Eagle Pass' very own Luis Vielma crossed the finish line first after it was all said and done.

The Honorable Ramsey English-Cantú was also on hand to participate and assist with the presentation of the awards.

All in all it was a well-organized event which is sure to be the highlight of each and every spring for many years to come as Mrs. Harper happily announced, "Same place, same time next year!"

This reporter will begin training now and encourages all of the runners to do so soon at a track near you!
