Bealls Department Stores, one of 840 locations across the country which is #1 in sales and service and the flagship of the company, donated a total of $3,155.00 to the local Wintergarden Women's Shelter as part of their 30 Days of Giving campaign.

Rogelio Enriquez, the General Manager of Bealls at Mall de las Aguilas along with Andrea Jimenez, Mayra Valdez and Maria Trinidad was on hand along with his hard working, faithful staff who have put Eagle Pass Bealls on the proverbial map of their top locations once again this past year.

Those who are to be commended are the customers who unselfishly touched the future and donated $5 over the course of thirty days of shopping and purchases in order to help the non-profit organization that works everyday to address the rising problem of family violence which has run rampant in our community as Sheriff Tom Schmerber and his staff have informed The News Gram that a total ofg 37 incidents of family violence had been recorded in Maverick County in April alone. Carolina Gonzalez, Director of the Wintergarden Women's Shelter along with Lee Flores and Martha Ponce of Carrizo Springs graciously accepted the benevolent donation from Bealls who promise to continue this promotion in the future in order to continue assisting the most active non-profit organizations in our community.
