Aaron Morales scored two touchdowns to help the Eagle Pass Eagles bounce back from their season opening loss in Weslaco with a 14-6 victory over the Laredo Nixon Mustangs on Saturday in Shirley Field. After coming out of the game in the second half, Ty Chisum took over the reigns of the offense and connected with RJ Ruiz on a 30 yard strike as well as with Chris Perez. The Mustangs ran it in from five-yards out to make a comeback attempt after an Eagle fumble at mid-field, but failed to get the extra point. Eagle RB Evan Gloria had an impressive game rushing the ball and LB Richo Muñoz had 10 tackles along with Kevin Chisum who also contributed on defense.  Alex Hinojosa also had a standout game with several individual stops and Javy Cardona came up big with a pick to stop a late Mustang drive to give the Eagles the win. The Eagles take on the Alamo Heights Mules here on Friday.
