The CC Winn Mavericks won their first ever District 29-AAAAA Championship on Friday with a razor-sharp 3-2 victory over Rudy Rendon's Laredo Cigarroa Toros at the Eagle Pass ISD Baseball Complex behind a bases-loaded walk-off base hit by Ricardo Gonzalez to plate Isaac Banda with the game-winning run in the bottom of the seventh inning. Jonathan Ramirez came in in relief of Mav workhorse Jesus Fraga to get the 'W'. The Mavericks will face the Victoria East Titans in the first round of the State Playoffs.
