Yet another tragic rollover has claimed the life of an Eagle Passan.
On Tuesday afternoon a seven year-old girl was killed in an accident which occurred on FM 481, the Old Uvalde Road. Unofficial reports have revealed that the young girl was a student at Graves Elementary in the EPISD. The Sheriff's Department informed The News Gram that the accident occurred just after 5:00 P.M. in which a Pontiac Grand Prix driven by 23 Year-old Vanessa Esqueda, who was traveling with her two young daughters rolled over and was practically destroyed ending up on its side along a metal guard rail.
The report indicates that Sheriff Department officials along with Emergency Medical personnel arrived on the scene to render aid and all three passengers were transported to San Antonio where the seven year-old was transported first via Air Life helicopter after sustaining severe injuries and was clinging to life, but was pronounced deceased by Justice of the Peace Tere Melendrez. The Texas Department of Public Safety continues to investigate the accident.
