Initially former Justice of the Peace Cesar Iracheta was set for today as well, according to Daryl Fields, Public Information Officer for the Western District of Texas, however it has been pushed back to July 14th with jury selection and trial slated for August 18th.
Commissioner Rosales arrived to the federal court building and awaited his docket call dressed very professionally in a hearing that lasted all of five minutes.
He stood for the remainder of the docket call as Torres asked to approach the bench.
In all there were seventeen individuals awaiting their court dates most of them (all except five) in prison attire who would hear their proceedings before being returned to custody.
When it was all said and done, both Rosales and Torres were excused by the judge after being informed of any future proceedings which were inaudible to the general audience due to the noise gate mechanism used by the judge to keep these vital conversations private.
Official word as to when Mr. Rosales will return to Del Rio came down late on Tuesday, however Mr. Fields has informed this publication that in fact it will be set for Judge Moses’ July docket call July 21st.
