The 'Hope to Dream' Program, a benevolent endeavor spear-headed by Ryan Ricks and Ashley Furniture was the focal point of this month's Chamber of Commerce After Hours Mixer held Tuesday.

Ryan Ricks took advantage of the distinguished audience to inform them of the program, one that puts a new bed in the room of a child who is most in need of a good night's sleep, something most of us take for granted, but something a growing child cannot afford to go without.

"Our focus with this program is to donate $5 from every mattress that we sell in order for a needy child  to get a new bed and we hope to continue to do this each quarter of the year," stated Ricks who says their goal is to give 70-75 beds this year, "Basically the synergy behind the messeage was that Eagle Pass continues to grow and we should continue to promote these types of programs."

Mayor Ramsey English-Cantú also addressed the gathering with this program and this premise in mind.

"We had a good turnout of about 30 local business members and several $100.00 Ashley Furniture coupons were given away including a $500.00 Ashley gift certificate won by none other than Andres Beattie," said Margie Montoya of the Chamber, "Ashley made some sales from people attending so it turned out well for everyone."

The affair was catered by Mia's Cafe and decorated by Sugar & Spice of Del Rio.
