Five illegal aliens who were seen jumping fences and looking suspiciously in the properties of homeowners were chased down in the Carthage Place Subdivision of our fair city where they were cornered by EPPD and subsequently apprehended by US Border Patrol agents.
According to Police Chief Albert Guajardo, the five individuals had been seen by residents who called in the report of suspicious individuals in the area which prompted the immediate response of law enforcement officials.
EPPD units pursued the men in the canal area behind some homes on Camarinos where at least one unit accidently hit a chain link fence during the chase.
The men were taken into custody by USBP agents and the incident continues under investigation.
