Humberto O. Garza, Public Information Officer for the Eagle Pass Police Department, informed The News Gram of a fight which occurred last weekend at the parking lot of La Quinta Motor Inn on the corner of Main and Veterans where a man accused another of attempting to steal a Yeti cooler form the back of his pickup truck.

Juan Jesus Treviño was charged with theft under $500 and when police ran his license, he was found to have outstanding warrants in the amount of $400.

When he was arrested, his wife interfered even after she was told repeatedly to stay away, she tried to open the door to the police vehicle and was also arrested for interfering with the duties of a police servant.

When they arrived at the police department, she had what was apparently an asthma attack, so in the best interest of all involved, she was released and if need be, a warrant will be issued for her arrest at a later date.
