The seven candidates nominated by members of this community were:  Mr. Paulo Alcozer, Mr. George & Mrs. Martha Baxter (one nomination), Mrs. Lisa Cain, Mr. Ramsey English Cantu, Ms. Mary Ann Glammeyer, Dr. Luis Gutierrez-Perry, and Mr. Victor Rangel, Jr.  All candidates were invited to attend the Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce annual banquet, where the name of the Citizen of the Year for 2014 will be revealed.

The Chamber banquet will be held Friday, February 6th at 7:00 PM, at the Eagle Pass International Center for Trade.  Other highlights of the evening, other than announcement of the 2014 Citizen of the Year, include the Chamber president’s annual report, a delicious meal catered by Moonlight Ballroom Catering Services, and Happy Guerrero, the Comedian, renowned entertainer.  

Admission to the event is $30 per person, and is open to all who wish to attend.  Tickets are sold at the Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce, 400 Garrison Street, through Thursday, February 5th, at 12 o’clock noon.
