An automobile accident occurred on the corner of Main and Pierce at approximately 10:00 AM on Monday morning where two black in color vehicles crashed on an apparent running of a red light. Eagle Pass Police Department personnel as well as Eagle Pass Fire Department personnel reported to the scene. Both passengers and driver's side air bags were initiated on what looked to be a KIA SUV who hit a small black sedan on the corner of Main and Pierce causing significant damage to both vehicles. EPPD and EPFD units were immediately dispatched to the area to address both the victims of the accident and to begin the investigation of how and why these two vehicles may have collided. The investigation is underway by the Eagle Pass Police Department.
