The drawing will take place in the DSC Board Room. She mentioned that the candidates are invited to attend should they wish. For some candidates, the order in which they appear is of some importance as it is to any candidate's benefit to appear first. These elections have drawn great interest given the number of candidates who have registered. The school board elections will be for Places 1, 2, 6 and 7 and elections will be held November 6th. Early voting has been designated from October 22nd through November 2nd. Claudio Heredia and Jose Reyna are vying for Place 1; Ignacio Saucedo, Rodolfo Lopez and Hector Muñoz Mijares for Place 2; David Riojas, Hector Alvarez and Jesus Casas for Place 7; and Glenna Purcell, Marcos Villalpando and Tom Cary for Place 7.

Suzy Perez, Elections Coordinator for the EPISD, informed The News Gram that on Monday, August 27th at 10:00 A.M., names will be drawn for the order in which they will appear on the ballots November 6th.
