General Manager Eric Martinez and Franchise Owner Frank Mendoza were both on hand at the McDonald's location on El Indio Highway and Veteran's Loop as they handed over a check for $600 to PTO Treasurer Georgina Ramos that the Ray Darr PTO will put to good use according to President Samantha Espinoza.
"We'll mainly use the funds to help us with our end-of-the-year expenses and for our 6th grade graduation," said Ms. Espinoza, "We are also motivating our students to achieve academically by raffling tablets to a lucky winner from each grade level."
"We had a lot of support from the kids and over twenty teachers and staff members."
These students qualified for the raffle by making the honor roll on both grading periods the first semester.
"We will continue to motivate our kids to achieve academically and to come to school on a daily basis," concluded Ms. Ramos.
"It gives us great pleasure to assist the teachers and students of Ray Darr," said Mr. Martinez who said that he really put the enthusiastic staff at Darr to work, "They learned fast and we had it pretty easy that day and they all had fun."
