Your Am-Mex Swarm are now 4-0 on the season after their big 118-117 victory over San Antonio's Texas Fuel at a game held on the campus of San Antonio Southside High School.
The Gold & Black Attack led by ten points or more throughout the game and were able to hold off the Fuel's last hope of a last minute comeback in front of their home fans.
Rickey Scott had 28 points, 10 rebounds and four steals for the Swarm to go along with David Palmer's 25 points and 13 boards. Am-Mex's A.J. Pigram contributed 22 points and 10 assists en route to his own double-double and Maurese Jackson accomplished the same feat with 17 points and 15 big boards.
Next up for the Swarm, a showdown on the border with division rivals the Sugarland Legends next Sunday at 5:00 PM at the Santiago V. Gonzalez Auditorium in our sister city of Piedras Negras.
Both teams are undefeated coming into this game which will pit two legendary coaches, the Swarm's Johnny Moore against the Legend's Calvin Murphy, Jr. "Two walk in undefeated,
ONE walks out the winner," stated Swarm Owner Michael Luna. Something's gotta give, so be there, be early, but by all means BEE LOUD! Fight, Swarm, Fight!
