Your Am-Mex Swarm are now 3-0 on the young ABA season with a convincing 128-115 victory over the Hill Country Stampede.
The Swarm, who are coached by former San Antonio Spurs legend Johnny Moore opened up the scoring early dropping 31 points to the stampede's 17 in the first quarter to pull away before watching the visitors pull to within six at the half before a good crowd in Piedras Negras' Santiago V. Gonzalez Auditorium.
The third quarter of action saw both teams attempting to establish some semblance of balance on both sides of the court with neither team backing down as the two squads ended the third quarter practically at a deadlock with the black and gold ahead 93-92.
David Palmer's outstanding 38 point 15 board performance paced the Swarm who moved up in the overall ABA rankings to # 15. Maurice Jackson also had a double-double with 22 points and 16 rebounds while Rickey Scott missed a triple-double by four assists with his 21 point, 10 boards and six assists.
Your Swarm are off this week before heading to San Antonio next week to take on the Texas Fuel.
