CC Winn Homecoming 2014 was a very memorable one as last year's Queen Eileen Hernandez was there with Jennifer Mijares in stunning gowns to crown this year's winners Jannette De La Cruz and Jorge Gonzalez representing Life Skills who received a rousing round of applause both when being introduced by PA announcer Boogie Purcell and even more so when it was known that they had indeed received the majority of the popular vote to be crowned 2014 maverick Homecoming Queen and King.
Spanish Club representatives Adelaida Tellez and Dante Valdez were crowned Pricess and Prince, Maverick Football Representatives Karen Vidaurri and Emmanuel Herrera were crowned Duchess and Duke, representatives of the Thunderin' Maverick Band, Angelica Beltran and John Padilla were crowned Countess and Count, StuCo representatives Alexia Villarreal and Rolando Garcia were crowned Lady and Lord of the festivities.
The coronation marked the end of homecoming activities where the Mavericks gave their fan base hope to make the playoffs after a 21-7 victory over the Laredo Nixon Mustangs.
