Sept. 29 at approximately 2 a.m., agents from the Comstock Station were conducting linewatch duties when an agent spotted several subjects running across Highway 90 near the Terrell County line. The subjects abandoned several bundles when encountered by agents. The bundles contained 455 pounds of marijuana, valued at an estimated $364,640.

Sept. 25 at approximately 10 a.m., agents from the Eagle Pass Station were conducting linewatch operations by tracking a set of footprints in a dry creek bed. As they followed the footprints they discovered four military-style duffel bags. The bags contained 224 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $179, 920.

Sept. 19 at approximately 1 p.m., agents from the Comstock Station were conducting linewatch operations near Comstock when they spotted footprints leading away from the border. Upon further investigation agents discovered seven green military style duffel bags hidden within dense vegetation. The duffel bags were recovered and taken to the station for processing. The duffel bags contained 444 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $355, 920. 

Sept. 13 at approximately 2 p.m., agents from the Comstock Station were attempting to catch up to a suspicious vehicle on Highway 90 when they witnessed the vehicle pull over and several subjects abscond from the vehicle. When the agents inspected the vehicle they discovered what appeared to be bundles of narcotics in the bed and back seat of the vehicle. The vehicle and the bundles were taken to the station for processing. A total of 450 pounds of marijuana worth an estimated $360,320 was seized.

Agents from the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration took custody of the marijuana in all of the seizures.

For Fiscal Year 2014, the Del Rio Border Patrol Sector has seized more than $17.5 million worth of marijuana. The Del Rio Border Patrol Sector is part of the South Texas Campaign, which leverages federal, state and local resources to combat transnational criminal organizations.
