City Manager Robert Eads, the man who hired Debrow in late June 2012 is on of his staunchest supporters.
Debrow was hired to make key changes and improve the public image of the police department and has met with opposition for his firing of personnel some of which have been accused of taking money from a fund raiser and another who fixed traffic tickets which would further tarnish the image of the department.
“I haven't been comfortable since I got here. I could be fired any day,” said Debrow, a retired state trooper in a recent article by John MacCormack of the San Antonio Express-News.
