"The project is part of an ongoing upgrade to the chamber which began inside as we had a small grant from the city and the Texas Historical Commission to restore the facade to its original design," said Mrs. Martinez, "We also made improvements to our sprinkler system, got new landscaping and one of the final phases was an upgrade to the parking lot.
Martinez concluded by saying that the Eagle Pass Public Works Department installed new curbs in order to protect the landscaping and the sprinkler system from visitors and citizens after hours who would irresponsibly drive their vehicles onto the grass.
"This is all to project a better, more inviting chamber to our citizens and our visitors."
