Jose Cano who will be the General Manager of the Mall de las Aguilas newest merchant, Marshalls, one of the premier off-price retailers in the country that will be opening October 16th in Eagle Pass, informed The News Gram of some of the exciting aspects of opening a new location.

"We're really excited about coming to Eagle Pass not only to provide jobs and job creation, but to be a strong player in the retail market here," stated Cano, "We'll definitely be giving customers and the customer base a variety in apparel and home goods."

Pat Saucedo, General Manager for Mall de las Aguilas, said that the construction is coming along well in what will be a 22,500 square foot building that will take three previous spaces which have since been vacated at the mall.

"They expressed an interest in coming a couple of years back and now this proposal has come full circle and has finally come to fruition in what I feel will be a huge plus for our economy," added Saucedo.

Mr. Saucedo also said that they will occupy the old Sears location in the mall in front of Beall's and next to Cinemark in our existing mall's layout.

Marketing Manager Paco Flores also commented on the impending addition to the shopping experience at Mall de las Aguilas, "They've leased out three spaces if you remember a western store, a toy store and Pac Sun which used to be in this general area and we're knocking down walls and raising the ceiling and the sprinkler system in what is going to be a very impressive looking store."

Mr. Cano concluded that Marshalls has what is called a TJX Rewards card which can be used there or at their sister stores TJ Maxx and Home Goods, "We also offer gift cards for any occasion."

Marshalls will also be having a mass hiring event from September 22nd through the 26th from 8:00-5:00 at the Texas Workforce Center.
