It took Guadalupe Reyna all of one minute to respond to the PA announcer at the Que Pasa Lounge when she heard her name on the loud speaker as the first lucky winner of the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino's $100,000 Mini Madness promotion.
Reyna and her husband will be driving back in style to San Antonio and according to her, they had about eighteen tickets in the hopper and that they were looking for a small car.
"We came with a lot of hopes of winning," said Reyna who said that she does not work anymore and is disabled, "We really needed a small car and look what happened, I can't believe it! I feel like I'm dreaming!"
"I said 'No' the casino's not going to pay me, but you see, it PAYS!"
When asked how many tickets she had in the hopper she said 16, eight from Sunday and eight from Wednesday.
"I'm disabled and so is my husband and we needed a small car. My children are all grown up, but they are going to be impressed!"
Melissa Ocegueda, Orlando Marines and Jaime Flores were all on hand representing the casino and to hand over the keys of the red Mini Cooper with the white top which looks like something out of the "Italian Job."
Another Mini Cooper will be given away each Wedesday in September. Winning is bigger in Texas at the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino!
