In recognition of "National Recovery Month" the Serving Children and Adults in Need agency (SCAN) through the city of Eagle Pass, are preparing a series of activities that began today with the reading of a proclamation.
Karina Martinez, who is in charge of the program in Eagle Pass, informed The News Gram that the reading of the proclamation which was scheduled at 10:00 am Thursday at City Hall would be made by The Honorable Ramsey E. Cantu.
He noted that the reading of the proclamation of "National Recovery Month" the agency Serving Children and Adults in Need will be very beneficial for those citizens who need the assistance the most, those with problems with drug and alcohol addiction.
He explained that the SCAN Program serves people with alcohol and other substances, and they are supported with addiction prevention program for children, youth and adults.
