An incident on Friday led to Justice of the Peace Cesar Perez being escorted out of the Tom Bowles Detention Center.

According to authorities, Sheriff Herrera was not in agreement as to the way he was going about magistrating individuals at the facility. According to sources, Judge Perez possesses an attitude and some of them filed formal complaints due to the treatment they experienced. As of now, it is unknown what procedures Judge Perez may choose to take at this time as his privileges have been taken away for the time being. JP's are on occasion called in to magistrate people who have been arrested for any offense.  The JP reads that person his/her charges and determines a fine which he/she determines to be appropriate for the offense committed as well as a price which the offender must pay in order to regain their freedom even if temporary, which is called a PR or personal recognizance bond.
