Vandal attempts to break into store
The Eagle Pass News Gram's cameras were at a convenience store on the corner of Medina and Ferry on Thursday where at least five impacts of a large round-edged rock were seen absolutely crushing the plate glass window of the establishment as if vandals were trying to get into the store after hours.
According to the store manager, the vandal, a frail male in his late teens, early twenties about 5' 7" dark complected wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts arrived at the store in the wee hours of Thursday morning approximately 3:00 AM.
The individual knew there were surveillance cameras because he covered his face with the back of his shirt throwing a rock several times causing the damage, but unable to break the reenforced glass.
The video does not show the vandal's true intentions, but according to the store manager it seems as though the motive was simply vandalism and the man did not seem to want to forcibly enter the store.
The case is under investigation by the Eagle Pass Police Department.
