Lytle's Bernadine Lee was not only the first name that was drawn from the hopper at the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Casino's latest drawing, she was right there in front of the High Roller area of the casino when her name was called.
"Yes I was, because I wanted to win this truck for my husband. He has a very old truck and I wanted him to have a new truck," said the lucky winner of a 2015 Ford F-150 4X4 pickup whose husband Ken is a mobile home dealer in the greater San Antonio area.
He was along for the ride as he accompanied his wife to the cordoned off area in front of the casino to choose her new Ford from Ancira Eagle Pass.
Assistant Manager Oresmo Anico, Melissa Ocegueda, Orlando Marines and Jaime Flores of the Kickapoo Lucky Eagle Marketing Department were also on hand to assist in the handing over of the keys as Lee and her husband chose the charcoal grey pickup they will be proudly driving home to Lytle.
"He chose the color, stated Bernadine. "Our friends are NOT going to believe this," added Ken who said it'll soon be covered in Pearsall-red sand.
"f he would've it would have been his, but since I won it, he had to ask ME for it," she concluded with a big smile on her face as she screamed, "I won the truck!"
