Tambien se leeran los nombres de los caidos en combate y se depositara una flor en honor de cada veterano cuyo nombre esta inscrito en el monumento.

Los veteranos de VFW estan pidiendo que los parientes, familiares, y amigos de las personas cuyos nombres estan inscritos en el monumento que hagan presencia en esta bonita y solemne ceremonia y que traigan ofrendas florales para ponerlas en el monumento.

El VFW hace una cordial invitación a todos los veter- anos y al publico en general de Eagle Pass y Piedras Negras, y a los oficiales electos de Eagle Pass, y Maverick County a esta solemne, y patriotica ceremonia que recuerda y da tributo a nuestros veteranos caidos en combate.

The local VFW Post 8562 will be having its traditional Memorial Day Ceremony on Friday the 30th of May 2014, at 11:00AM sharp. The ceremony will be at the Maverick County Lake next to the Veterans Memorial park. Participating in the ceremony will be the Memorial Jr. High School Band, the cadets from the TX 92nd AFJRROTC, the Girl Scouts of Southwest Texas. Mrs. Jessica Cavazos, Mr. Sammy Lerma, our post chaplain Mr. Rogelio Reina our asst. chaplain Mr. Esteban Salas, our guest speaker will be Mr. John Salazar. Also participating will be the VFW Firing Squad and our local veterans organizations. The names of those killed in action who are inscribed on the monument will be read and a flower will be placed on the monument to honor each one of them. The VFW is asking that the next of kin, families, and friends of those whose names are inscribed on the monument attend this solemn ceremony and bring floral offerings to be placed at the monument.

The VFW is extending a cordial invitation to all veterans and their families and the general public from both sides of the border to attend this solemn and beautiful ceremony. A special invitation is made to our elected officials to attend this patriotic ceremony that honor, pay tribute, and remembers our departed

veterans.
