"It' s important to note that they (Our postal carriers and their union) organized the event," stated Saucedo, "The carriers donated their time and efforts.  The Eagle Pass Shop Steward Jorge Salinas was very instrumental in the success of the drive and all the food will stay in our community."

Saucedo concluded that the donations will be turned over to the Father Jim Erving Food Bank at Our Lady of Refuge Church in Eagle Pass.

Ernesto Saucedo, Postmaster para el USPS locales informó  a The News Gram del hecho de que los operadores postales lograron reunir 13,600 Lbs. de alimentos para el banco de alimentos local aquí el sábado 10 de mayo durante su campaña Hambre Stamp Out. 

"Es  importante tener en cuenta que ellos (Los carteros y su sindicato) organizaron el evento", dijo Saucedo, "Las compañías donaron su tiempo y esfuerzos. The Eagle Pass delegado sindical Jorge Salinas fue muy instrumental en el éxito de la unidad y toda la comida se quedará en nuestra comunidad".

Saucedo llegó a la conclusión de que las donaciones serán entregadas al Padre Jim Erving Banco de Alimentos de Nuestra Señora de la Iglesia Refugio en Eagle Pass.
