Lady Eagles jumped to a 2-1 lead early but Edinburg tied it in the third inning and went up 3-2 in the fourth. A subsequent rally ended with a score of 8-3 but did not discourage the Lady Eagles as they showed determination and grit by scoring three late runs in their half of the last inning. The Lady Bobcats held on to a narrow 8-6 lead.
The Lady Eagles look to tie up the series this Saturday afternoon but no further information was given by press time. The Lady Eagles come into the series as District 29-5A Champions as well as beating their Bi District and Area rivals.
