La misión de oficiales de Aplicacion de la Ley Carrera de Antorcha para las Olimpiadas Especiales es aumentar la conciencia y recaudar fondos para el movimiento de Olimpiadas Especiales.
Cada año, la iniciativa de la Carrera de la Antorcha se hace más grande y mejor con la participación de todas las Agencias de aplicación de la ley local.
Ellos realmente hace la carrera en etapas con el partido de ida es de Puerto de Entrada nº 1 de Maverick Lake County un total de dos millas.
La segunda etapa es de Maverick Lake County a la oficina del Departamento de Seguridad Pública de Texas que son otros dos kilómetros.
La tercera y última etapa será la última milla de la oficina de DPS al estadio donde el evento se iniciará poco después.
Las siguientes agencias estarán participando en el evento de este año: La estación de Patrulla Fronteriza de Eagle Pass Sur, Eagle Pass North Station United States Border Patrol, los policias del Distrito Escolar Independiente, Departamento de Aduanas y Protección Fronteriza, Departamento del Sheriff, Departamento de Policía, Game Warden, Departamento de Bomberos, DPS oficiales del Estado y la Policía del Kickapoo.
Law Enforcement Torch Run to be held May 13th
Local law enforcement authorities are busy recruiting dedicated members of their forces who will participate in the annual lighting of the torch of the 2014 Special Olympics on May 13, 2014 at 7:00 AM where a contingent of officers will make the symbolic run for those who can't beginning at the US Port of Entry #1, west on Garrison, west on Main all the way to the EPISD Student Activity Center.
The mission of the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for Special Olympics is to increase awareness and raise funds for the Special Olympics movement.
Each year the Law Enforcement Torch Run initiative grows bigger and better with the participation of all local Law Enforcement Agencies.
They have actually broken the run into stages with the first leg being from Port of Entry #1 to Maverick County Lake a total of two miles.
The second leg is from Maverick County Lake to the office of the Texas Department of Public Safety which are another two miles.
The third and final leg will be the last mile from the DPS office to the stadium where the event will begin shortly after.
The following agencies will be participating in the event this year: The Eagle Pass South Station United States Border Patrol, Eagle Pass North Station United States Border Patrol, Independent School, District Police Department, Customs and Border Protection, Sheriff’s Department, Police Department, Game Warden, Fire Department, State Troopers and the Kickapoo Police.
