“You could be a drug dealer and not even know it. One way people are getting addicted to dangerous drugs is by raiding the medicine cabinets of their family and friends. Prescription drugs are now abused at a higher rate than the use of cocaine, heroin and hallucinogenic drugs combined.
On Saturday, April 26th, as part of a nationwide effort, the DEA along with the Eagle Pass Police Department will be operating a collection site where citizens can turn in their unused, unneeded and expired prescription medications – no questions asked. The collection site will be located in the parking lot of the IBC Bank located at 2395 East Main Street from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. This is a free and anonymous service that will help keep your home safe and could save lives. For more information, please feel free to visit www.dea.gov, or contact Acting Resident Agent in John E. Gonzalez at 830-752-4005.”
