"Texas has the largest number of uninsured persons and we're here to assist citizens with finding quality, affordable health care," stated Enroll America's Ramon Chapa who added, "No one plans to get hurt or sick, but everyone needs health care at some point because without insurance, medical costs are really expensive."
Speaking of the MCHD, they held a special meeting on Monday, March 17th where they received an unlikely visit by Hector Muñoz-Mijares. Board Chair J.M. Farias informed The News Gram of his visitor's recognition in which he said that the MCHD needs to expand our health services to keep pace with the growth of our community.
"He says that he usually comes to meetings to voice his opinions with things he doesn't agree with, but in this case, he wanted to congratulate us on all the advanced health programs that we offer while having a low tax rate of .07 per hundred dollars of property value. He wishes that other local entities could follow our lead and that we are doing an excellent job."
