Department of Justice informs of latest happenings
In reference to Maverick County indictments in Del Rio

Daryl Fields, Public Affairs Officer for the United States Attorney's Office Western District of Texas informed The News Gram of the myriad of sentencing hearings which are upcoming in the cases stemming from the extensive investigations which have come out of Eagle Pass and Maverick County.
First of all, both Richard and Damien Hesles, indicted on weapons charges and Jaime Flores former Precinct 1 Foreman, will be sentenced January 28th before the Honorable Alia Moses, US District Judge Western District of Texas.
The only case that is not being tried by Judge Moses would be Hector Chavez who will appear before The Honorable David A. Ezra in March.
Javier Gonzalez will appear before Judge Moses on February 10th while Marcelo Alvarez has docket call on February 11th which could or could not affect his trial date which is set for March 18th. Saul Lombraña has docket call this Wednesday, January 14th.
Hipolito Amaya is set to be sentenced March 3rd and Eduardo Rodriguez will be sentenced March 4th.
March 31st marks the date of a busy docket for Judge Moses as Rodolfo Heredia will have a status conference which may or may not affect his court date which we were not able to get at press time. Alejandra Garcia will be sentenced on this date along with Jose Telles and former County Commissioner Cesar Flores.
April 9th is the date set for the sentencing of Eliaz Maldonado. Pre-trial statements in the German Cano case are set to be heard on April 15th for a May 20th trial date.
Salvador Castillón will be sentenced on May 12th. Jose Rodriguez will be sentenced on July 7th.
