Victor Perry rides off into the sunset; Announces retirement from EPAD

Victor Perry, long time director of the Eagle Pass Appraisal District has called it a day and his staff, colleagues of the Board of Directors, family and friends converged on the EPAD offices to wish him the best in his future endeavors. "Peter Lowe from Austin along with the staff planned a little reception for me today, we also had a Texas Association of Appraisal Districts meeting today," stated the highly experienced, well-versed and consummate professional, "We had directors from Kinney, Kendall, Gillespie, Kerr County, LaSalle, Zavala, Medina, Dimitt, Uvalde, Val Verde, Edwards, Real about 14-15 counties who were at the meeting.

They presented me with a token of appreciation being that it is my final year with the appraisal district." Meetings of the association are held quarterly, the last being in Bandera. "We invited some of our community leaders and others who have been here before to this reception," he concluded. Now at the helm of the Eagle Pass Appraisal District will be Maggie Duran who will take over January 1st. Perry has held this position for 31 years and has been in the system for 46 years. "I have been very privileged to serve the people of Maverick County, it's been challenging, but at the same time, it's been rewarding. I've made a lot of friends, a lot of acquaintances over the years and I'm very proud of that fact."
