Homecoming activities came to a close on Friday with the coronation of Homecoming Court. All the candidates were dressed in formal attire and the expectation was grand as to who was going to be crowned on this evening. Last year's Queen and King Suzel Figueroa and Oscar Lara were on hand to give up their crowns in their last act as CC Winn Mavericks. When it was all said and done after a week of voting the PA announcer made it known who the big winners were: Representing the Maverick Football Team, Stephanie Nicole Borja and George Andrade were crowned Lord and Lady.

Representing Media Tech Jaslyn Garza and Carlos Cerezo were crowned Count and Countess. Representing the Silverline Dance Team, Ashley Franco and Steven Garcia were crowned Duke and Dutchess. Brianna Guedea and Anthony Olivares representing The Thundering Maverick Marching Band were crowned Prince and Princess. And this year, two queens were crowned, representing GSA Eileen Hernandez and Jennifer Mijares received the highest honors of the evening. A magnificent evening of gala and splendor was experienced before the band took the field for their last run through before competition which would be held on Saturday.
