The first officer at the scene made entry to the bedroom where he found a couple covered in multiple stab wounds and blood. An apparent struggle was evident between the couple. The female was pronounced dead upon arrival and the male was transported to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Center. The male is currently awaiting to be transported via Air Life to University Hospital in San Antonio, Texas for further treatment. The Eagle Pass Police Department has previously responded to said address for numerous complaints of family violence. This case was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division for further investigation.

The Eagle Pass Police Department has informed The News Gram of a horrifying murder-suicide which occurred on Wednesday evening. On Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at approximately 9:54 P.M., the Eagle Pass Police Department was dispatched to 213 Medina Street. Officers from B squad were informed upon arrival that an adult male and female were in a bedroom unconscious.
