Frank and Adele Junfin and their family have been an establishment in Eagle Pass and Maverick County for many many years, always looking for ways to help fellow Eagle Passans in various ways.
Their visionary business, Kunafin, the insectary which has made an impact worldwide by declaring war on all types of flies and unwanted pests that threaten cattle ranchers, the poultry industry, horse stables, dairy farms, feedlots and even tree farmers, is now the site where a large field of onions is going to waste and the Junfins would like the general public to know that they may call and come by to take as much of the crop as they wish.
"The Junfins are very hard-working individuals and their family has been, for a very long time," stated Susie Mason of Kunafin, "They do not want to see this crop go to waste as it is not going to be shipped out to northern states. So they are asking Eagle Passans to call us at (210)262-6242 to let us know you're coming and you can take as much onions as you wish, to sell or give away to family or friends."
The generosity of the Junfin family is and has aways been greatly appreciated and this is no exception as they donated over 2000 sacks to the local food bank this week.
Kunafin specializes in the breeding of trichogramma, lacewings and fly parasites among other biologicals and residuals which help ranchers produce better quality beef, dairy farmers to produce fresher milk products and poultry farmers to have cleaner facilities free of germ-spreading flies of all kinds.
