Durante la reunión, la recién nombrada Secretaria de la Ciudad, Erika Rodríguez, proporcionó al Ayuntamiento información sobre las próximas elecciones, que incluirán la carrera por la alcaldía y las carreras por los puestos 2 y 4 del concilio

Rodríguez informó que el período de inscripción de candidatos comenzará el 15 de enero y estará abierto hasta el 14 de febrero a las 5:00 p. m. La votación anticipada se llevará a cabo del 22 al 29 de abril de 8:00 a. m. a 5:00 p. m. El sábado 26 de abril, "de 9:00 a. m. a 1:00 p. m.", se incluirá como un día especial para votar. Rodríguez también informó que la votación anticipada se trasladará ahora al Gimnasio Cruz Antonio Muñoz ubicado en 2806 Roosevelt St.

City Council Approves Election with Early Voting Changed to the Cruz Antonio Muñoz Gymnasium

The Eagle Pass City Council held their first meeting of 2025 on Tuesday, in which they discussed and took action on several important items including the discussion and approval of the 2025 General Election to be held Saturday, May 3, 2025.

During the meeting, newly named City Secretary Erika Rodriguez provided the City Council with information regarding the upcoming election, which will include the mayor's race and City Council Place 2 and 4 races as well.

Rodriguez informed that the candidates’ registration period will begin on January 15th and will be open until February 14th at 5:00 pm. Early voting will take place from April 22nd through April 29th from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Saturday, April 26th, 9:00 am to 1:00 pm will be included as a special day for voting. 

Rodriguez also informed that early voting will now be moved to the Cruz Antonio Muñoz Gymnasium located at 2806 Roosevelt St.

The Eagle Pass City Council approved the item calling for the election.
