Texas Installs More Border Buoy Barriers Along the Shelby Park Area
Texas Governor Greg Abbott has ordered for personnel from the Texas Military Department to install more buoy border barrier along the Rio Grande in Eagle Pass.
These efforts are being taken in order to secure areas along the Shelby Park, which in the past has seen thousands of migrants cross and turn themselves into authorities including the Border Patrol.
The border floating barrier will be extended from the southern portion of Bridge 2 and into the Shelby Park zone.
"Texas placed more buoys in the Rio Grande River this morning. Despite the Biden-Harris Administration’s attempts to shut down our border security efforts, the buoys are here to stay," said Abbott. "We won't back down from our mission to deter and repel illegal immigration."
