El Departamento del Sheriff del condado de Maverick informó que los agentes fueron alertados sobre un remolque estacionado en la estación Pilot Gas ubicada en la intersección de Main St. y New York. Y la autopista 57, donde se podían escuchar ruidos desde el interior de un remolque.

Las autoridades llegaron al lugar y pudieron acceder al remolque cerrado.

Un total de 26 inmigrantes indocumentados fueron encontrados dentro del remolque esperando ser transportados al interior del país.

Afortunadamente, ninguno de los individuos requirió transporte médico ya que la bajada de las temperaturas les ayudó a no sufrir un destino horrible como en otros casos similares.

El incidente está siendo investigado ya que las cámaras de vigilancia muestran a los inmigrantes siendo dejados en grupos de tres por desconocidos.

Los migrantes fueron entregados a la Border Patrol de Estados Unidos para su procesamiento.

Authorities in the early morning hours of Wednesday rescued a group of 26 undocumented migrants from inside a locked trailer.

The Maverick County Sheriff's Department reported that deputies were alerted to a parked trailer at the Pilot Gas station located at the intersection of Main St. And Highway 57, where noises could be heard from inside a trailer.

Authorities arrived at the scene and were able to gain access to the locked trailer.

A total of 26 undocumented migrants were found being kept inside the trailer waiting to be transported further into the country.

Luckily, none of the individuals required medical transport as the decrease in weather temperatures helped them from possibly suffering a horrific fate like in other such cases.

The incident is being investigated as video surveillance shows that the migrants were being dropped off in groups of 3s by unknown individuals.

The migrants were turned over to the United States Border Patrol for processing.
