Eagle Pass FFA Students Excel at TX FFA State Convention

Eagle Pass FFA traveled to Houston, Texas for the 96th Annual Texas FFA State Convention on July 8-12, with the chapter participating in the business session, learning leadership skills, and hearing keynote speakers such as Granger Smith and Ron Gordon.

Three members, Caitlyn Cardenas, Marichel Hernandez and Sophia Rodriguez received their Lone Star Degree this year. The Lone Star FFA Degree/State FFA Degree is the highest degree the State association can bestow upon a member. The State FFA Degree is awarded by State Associations and is open to members in 11th grade or higher who are involved in chapter leadership, state–level activities and community service, and who complete a set number of hours of instruction and Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) growth and productivity.
