La Junta de EPISD entró en una sesión ejecutiva y luego volvió a reunirse en una sesión abierta.
Luego, la Junta aprobó la contratación de Eric Villaseñor como Director Atlético entrante de EPISD.
Villaseñor eventualmente reemplazará al antiguo Director Atlético Edward Graf, quien se jubilará en diciembre después de más de 4 décadas en el campo de la educación, 21 como Director Atlético del Distrito Escolar Independiente de Eagle Pass.
Durante 2 décadas, el entrenador Graf ha dirigido un programa deportivo de gran éxito en nuestra comunidad.
Un programa que Graf moldeó año tras año, asegurando el éxito en cada uno de los programas deportivos del distrito, incluidos fútbol, atletismo, béisbol, tenis, campo a través, golf y otras tareas diarias que colocan a Eagle Pass Athletics en el mapa deportivo.
El superintendente Samuel Mijares informó que la contratación iniciará un período de transición.

En 2013, Villaseñor fue contratado como entrenador en jefe de fútbol americano universitario de CC Winn High School después de ser coordinador ofensivo durante 7 años.

Eric Villasenor Hired as New EPISD Athletic Director

The Eagle Pass Independent School District Board of Trustees held a meeting on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, in which they approved to hire a new Athletic Director.
The EPISD Board went into executive session and later reconvened in open session.
The Board then went on to approve the hiring of Eric Villasenor as the incoming EPISD Athletic Director.
Villasenor will eventually be replacing longtime Athletic Director Edward Graf who is set to retire in December after more than 4 decades in the education field, 21 as Eagle Pass Independent School District Athletic Director.
For 2 decades, Coach Graf has led a very successful athletic program in our community. A program that Graf molded on a year to year basis, ensuring success in each of the district's sports programs including Football, Track and Field, Baseball, Tennis, Cross Country, Golf and other daily duties that put Eagle Pass Athletics on the Sports map.
Superintendent Samuel Mijares informed that the hire is set to begin a transitional period.
Villasenor has been with the Eagle Pass Independent School District since 2006.
Back in 2013, Villasenor was hired as CC Winn High School Varsity Football Head Coach after being offensive coordinator for 7 years.
Villasenor will begin his transition which will see him lead all sports programs within the Eagle Pass Independent School District.
