During this time, Patriots across the entire country honor Old Glory as a national symbol of the freedoms we enjoy and aspire to keep each and every day.
Locally, the City of Eagle Pass and local Veterans held a celebratory ceremony at City Hall on June 14th to commemorate the adoption of the flag as a symbol and representation of our beloved Country back in 1777.
Eagle Pass Mayor Rolando Salinas, City Manager Homero Balderas and city officials welcomed everyone in attendance including veterans from the local VFW and proceeded to hold the annual commemorative event.
City Marketing Director Aide Castaño welcomed all in attendance and proceeded to host the ceremonial event which featured participation from Eagle Pass and CC Winn High School students.
VFW Post and American Legion members held the traditional raising of the flag to celebrate and honor our symbol of freedom during Flag Day.

Old Glory flies across government buildings, schools, city halls, police and fire stations, stores, offices, and millions of front porches.
Wherever Americans are gathered - sporting events, places of worship, parades, and rallies - our flag waves proudly, representing the enduring spirit of our country.
The American flag helps us never forget the values of our Republic and the value of men and women in uniform who have defended it.
