The event was attended by Mayor Rolando Salinas, City Councilwoman Monica Cruz, City Manager Homero Balderas and Assistant City Manager Ivan Morua who all thanked the Public Works Department for their dedication and hard work to maintain and upkeep our community.
During the event, Mayor Salinas presented Public Works Director Daniel Ibarra and personnel a proclamation recognizing National Public Works Week (May 19–25, 2024) whose theme is “Advancing Quality of Life for All”.
"Whether it’s through infrastructure or first responder services, public works professionals always enhance the lives of the communities they serve. We thank you all for the work that you do to keep our community moving forward," said Salinas.
“This week is used to energize and educate the public on the importance of public works in their daily lives: planning, building, managing, and operating at the heart of their local communities to improve everyday quality of life," added Salinas.
"We are strongly committed to work alongside our public works department to provide the necessary services to our community residents," added Balderas
