La directora de la Cámara de Comercio, Margie Montoya, informó este lunes que como parte de las festividades de este año se realizará el tradicional carnaval, desfile y Ceremonia del Abrazo.
El carnaval del Festival de la Amistad se llevará a cabo del 22 al 31 de marzo en el área de Fort Duncan Park. Los boletos ya están a la venta en la Cámara de Comercio de Eagle Pass.
Las festividades también contarán con un desfile que se llevará a cabo el sábado 23 de marzo a las 11:00 am en el corazón del centro de la ciudad.
El Festival de la Amistad comenzará con la tradicional Ceremonia de Abrazo que se llevará a cabo en el Puerto de Entrada No. 1 el 27 de marzo a las 5:30 p.m.
Esta es la 62ª Ceremonia Anual del Abrazo, que se lleva a cabo desde 1962.
La tradicional ceremonia del Abrazo es un gesto simbólico entre ambas comunidades para dar inicio al Festival Anual de la Amistad.
Abrazo Ceremony to Be Held on March 27th as Part of Friendship Festival
The Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce announced several events to be included in this year's International Friendship Festival.
Chamber of Commerce Director Margie Montoya on Monday informed that as part of this year's festivities, they will be hosting the traditional carnival, parade, and Abrazo Ceremony.
The Friendship Festival carnival will be taking place from March 22nd - 31st at the Fort Duncan Park area. Tickets are now on sale at the Eagle Pass Chamber of Commerce.
The festivities will also feature a parade to take place on Saturday, March 23rd at 11:00 am in the heart of downtown.
The Friendship Festival will start off with the traditional Abrazo Ceremony to be held at Port of Entry No. 1 on March 27th at 5:30pm.
This is the 62nd Annual Abrazo Ceremony, which has been held since 1962.
The Traditional Abrazo ceremony is a symbolic gesture between both communities to commence the annual Friendship Festival.
