Upon arriving at the scene, public safety personnel made contact with several individuals who were involved in the three-vehicle accident, which included an on-duty Border Patrol agent.
Police Department Personnel cordoned off the area to traffic for more than an hour while Emergency Medical Services personnel attended to 6 people who required medical assistance.
Several ambulances were summoned to the scene and transported the victims to the Fort Duncan Regional Medical Centers emergency room for treatment and evaluation.
Police Department officers remained at the scene while an investigation was conducted into the accident and the vehicles cleared from the road.
In total, there were eight individuals involved in the accident, informed EPFD Assistant Fire Chief Rodolfo Cardona.
