Chief United States District Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas Alia Moses this week issued an order prohibiting Border Patrol agents not to interfere, cut, remove any concertina wire that authorities working under Operation Lone Star have set up along the Rio Grande River in areas such as Eagle Pass.
In her order, Moses did specify that agents could only cut, remove any wire if a medical emergency was occurring and assistance was needed.
The temporary restraining order was signed by Judge Moses this week and will be revisited next week in a Federal Court room in Del Rio, Texas.
This decision comes after the State of Texas sued the Biden administration over the destruction of concertina wire in Eagle Pass.
The order takes effect until November 13th. A hearing in the case is set for next week.
