El Departamento de Bomberos cuenta actualmente con 14 bomberos junto con 4 camiones de limpieza y 1 camión cisterna en el lugar.

Manuel Mello, Jefe de Bomberos y Rodolfo Cardona, El asistente del jefe de bomberos también está en el sitio monitoreando y supervisando todas las operaciones.

No hay peligro inmediato para la vida o cualquier estructura. La ciudad de Eagle Pass les pide a nuestros residentes que sean conscientes de las cenizas volantes en nuestra ciudad.

Además, evite conducir por esta área mientras nuestros bomberos luchan contra este incendio forestal. La ciudad de Eagle Pass desea recordar a todos los ciudadanos que existe una estricta vigilancia contra incendios hasta el 17 de febrero de 2023.

Eagle Pass Fire Department Battles Large Wildfire

Mayor Rolando Salinas, Jr. and the City Council would like to provide an update on the large wildfire located on the Southwest side of the City along Loop 480. Our Fire Department is currently battling the large wildfire involving approximately 100 acres along the riverbanks. The Fire Department currently has 14 firefighters along with 4 brush trucks and 1 tanker at the scene. 

Manuel Mello, Fire Chief and Rodolfo Cardona, Assistant Fire Chief are on site as well monitoring and overseeing all operations.

There is no immediate danger to life or any structures. The City of Eagle Pass asks our residents to be cognizant of flying ash into our City.

Furthermore, please avoid driving through this area as our firefighters battle this wildfire. The City of Eagle Pass would like to remind all citizens that there is a strict fire watch until February 17, 2023.
