Los agentes del sheriff interceptaron un Toyota 4Runner 2022 conducido por Mark Contreras cerca del circuito 480 después de que cometió una infracción de tránsito.

Durante el paro, los diputados descubrieron a 6 personas, todos inmigrantes indocumentados de Honduras y Guatemala.

Contreras fue puesto bajo arresto y ahora enfrenta cargos de trata de personas.

Los inmigrantes indocumentados fueron entregados a la Patrulla Fronteriza de los Estados Unidos.

Sheriff Dept. Catch Human Trafficker near Loop 480

A 57-year-old man was caught transporting 6 undocumented migrants by the Maverick County Sheriff’s Department in an area along Hwy 277 heading towards Carrizo Springs on Tuesday.

Sheriff deputies intercepted a 2022 Toyota 4Runner driven by Mark Contreras near loop 480 after he committed a traffic violation.

During the stoppage deputies discovered 6 people, all undocumented migrants from Honduras and Guatemala.

Contreras was placed under arrest and now faces human trafficking charges.

The undocumented migrants were turned over to the United States Border Patrol.
